I have observed that there are many Blogger help blogs out there telling you to just add meta tags however this will very likely achieve the opposite result from the one you are after. What are Meta Tags?
Meta tags are HTML tags that provide additional information about your blog that is unseen by visitors but available to search engines. Simply placing a meta tag description in your Blogger template is problematic because Blogger will use the same meta tags for all pages in your blog. This means that every entry that Google has for your site will show in search results with the same description. This solution would result in reduced traffic rather than increased traffic. However there is a way to add meta tags to the home page of your blog only which will not affect post pages in your blog. In this way visitors will find the home page of your blog in search engines by the use of appropriate keywords and a site description.

How to Add Meta Tags to a Blogger Blogspot Blog Home Page
1. Login to Blogger if not already logged in

2. Navigate to Design > Edit HTML

3. Back up your template as a precaution by downloading full template to your computer.

I don't know of any automated method or script to add meta tags at this point but I am investigating it and will keep you posted.

Once you have added meta tags to your blog you can use tools to analyze them to ensure their relevance. Aim for meta tag relevancy to page content of above 90%. To check this you can use a free meta tag analyzer tool such as Submit Express or SEO Centro

    To avoid problems ensure that you keep within the maximum character limits:

    Title Tag - Maximum Characters is 60
    Site Description - Maximum Characters is 150
    Keywords - Maximum Characters is 200
  • Title Tag Tweak
    If you have inserted the title tag tweak and it is highly recommended that you do so then you will need to add the code above after the title tag adjustment in the section of your template. Read more about adjusting title tags
  • Keywords
    Although some search engines no longer place too much emphasis on keywords some still do so it is worth adding keywords. Avoid using the same keyword more than 3 times. The maximum number of keywords recommended to be robot friendly is around 20.

    • The href attribute and closing element is the same structure you use for other links in your blog
    • Each identifier is preceded by a hash mark (#). The # tells the visitor's browser to look for a section within your post
    • Each link identifier needs its own unique identifier and needs to be enclosed in inverted commas. Use a name that reflects the link you are creating if possible as it will make it easier to identify on a page with a lot of internal jump links.
  7. Now go to the first point in your post where you want to jump the reader to. This will be the start of some new idea, section or logical split in the information.
  8. At this point create your anchor text by first adding your heading and then enclosing your heading with this anchor structure.

    • Each link identifier needs to be enclosed in inverted commas. Make sure to match up the correct identifier with the one created in step 6

My Personal SEO Method i use to Rank My Clients

Hi guys, Let me first introduce my self. I have been in the Internet Marketing Field for the last 6 years and i have learned a lot of things the hard way. I am proud to say that i have worked with the Insurance Team for over 3 years. I have also learnt a lot with this website and i think now its my time to share something that i have learnt.

All the tutorials that i have seen (both paid & free) have only been telling about finding the easiest keywords to target using keyword research and how to rank them. And most of them tell the same things over and over.

I have also noticed that most of the tutorials teach about ranking for just one product / Website. What if you have an eCommerce website with 100's of products? This tutorial will explain you how to do SEO for an eCommerce Website.

REMEMBER: This was done with a team of 3.

The Challenge
The website i got had about 200,000 products and they were not ranking for any of them. The ON page was poorly done and the sales were very bad. So something has to be done to come over this situation as they have already spent millions of dollars on inventory.

Preparing for the SEO Campaign

The first challenge for me was to choose the right product to target. Since there are a lot of products, i started doing some research on the best selling products. You can go to Amazon and look for the products and see how well they are selling. The main factor i chose was the price of the product. Here are the steps i followed to choose the right product.

1. Choose a random category
2. Find the products in that category in Amazon
3. Check the reviews. If more reviews then the product is selling well. You can also just Google the product name and see the popularity of that product.
4. See if you can give the least price than any one who is selling online. If yes, then you just chose the right product.

I Finally found the products and requested the website owner to lower the price than the current market price. (Even if you can lower $5 it will make a big difference)

Now i have the products but i will not try to rank for the products as there was not much search for that brand / product name. Instead, people had searched for the Category and found the product and bought it. So i am going to target the Category name as my keyword.

Now that i have the keyword to target, i am going to start the SEO process.

Now i have asked my guys to start getting the resources i needed. Here are they,

1. One Nice video about the category with watermark of our website.
2. Create one 750 word unique article regarding the keyword. It must state the benefits of the product, comparison if available and should be 100% unique and professional.
3. Create a PDF about the category and products with watermark of our website url.
4. Create a power point presentation about the category and product with our website url in all slides.
5. Create 15 review articles about the products with 500 words each.

I have split my keywords into 3. Here are they,

1. Category Name
2. Best Category Name
3. Buy Category Name

Here are the Search Analysis for the above keywords:

1. Category Name

Global Monthly Searches: 60,500
Local Monthly Searches: 40,500
Competition Level: High

2. Best Category Name

Global Monthly Searches: 1,600
Local Monthly Searches: 1,300
Competition Level: High

3. Buy Category Name

Global Monthly Searches: 260
Local Monthly Searches: 140
Competition Level: High

Notice the Big difference in the 1st keyword and the other 2 keywords? It was done purposely. As you know it will take a bunch of time to rank for the first keyword. But i don't have the time to make my client wait that long. So i have taken all these 3 keywords into account and do the SEO for all these 3 keywords. I know that the 2nd and 3rd keyword will rank in just a couple of days and i can show some results to build the trust with the client and then focus on ranking the main keyword.

Now there as another problem. There were 6 products in that category. The category page was very simple with just the product name with no contents. It was a big problem. The URL was also very deep. So i went ahead and created a new page. Here are some of the things i did.

1. Made sure the url had the category name in it.
2. The title was made as "Buy the Best Category Name From Just $112" (I have used the price

because i have the lowest price in the market from that product). You can also notice that i

have combined all the 3 keywords into the title.
3. Added the necessary keywords and description. I made sure the description also included the price and it started with the keywords.
3. Added a 750 words unique article in that page.
4. Added all the 6 products with 200 words unique description. All the products were linked to the product page.
5. Added a nice header image to make the landing page look more product oriented and show customers that we are serious about this business.

Now i have my landing page done. It was way better than the previous category page.

Next thing i did was i went ahead and bought a new domain with "buycategoryname". I am going to use this website as a review website for the products i am going to sell. It will have a

Home Page, Review page for the products and a blog page.

Here are the following things i did on that website

1. Hosted the website in a completely new server location (This is very important. Never host your other website along with the main website)
2. Installed Wordpress
3. Install a nice theme
4. Installed the following plugins: All in one SEO Pack, SEO Friendly Images, SEO Search Terms Tagging 2, SEO Smart Links, SEO Super Comments, wptouch, smart youtube, w3 cache, Google XML Site maps.
5. Added a 500 word article with images and videos.
6. Created the product pages with affiliate links to the main website (just add ?utm_source=yourname in the url to make it look like an affiliate website. This is very important. Do not give direct links)
7. Wrote a simple blog by taking reviews from Amazon and told about how people like this product. I will be writing one blog every day.

All this was done in 2 days. So now i have all the necessary resources required to kick start my SEO campaign.

The White Hat 70% :

Day 1:

STEP 1:
First thing i did was to add these 2 links to the webmaster tool. To do this,

1. Login to your webmaster tool
2. Add your websites if you have already not done that.
3. Go to Diagnostics -> Fetch as Google Bot
4. Add the URL and click on Fetch
5. Click on Submit to Index.


STEP 2:
Next i submitted the websites to the following pinging services.

1. Webmasterdesk
2. imtalk - IMT website submitter
3. freebacklinktool

STEP 3:
I now upload the video i created to the following websites:

1. youtube
2. funnyjunk
3. jokeroo
4. supershare
5. dekhona
6. howcast
7. metacafe

I know there are other websites out there but most of them will remove your video as it will be very promotional.

Important: Make sure to include the main website's url in the description tag. Make sure to give different titles and different descriptions on each websites.

STEP 4:
I Uploaded the PDF you created to Scribd. Once uploaded, Save the URL somewhere. Remember to save all the Final Urls. Then ping the URL with the above mentioned services.

STEP 5:
I Uploaded the Powerpoint Presentation to Slideshare. Again Ping the URL with the above websites.

STEP 6:
I Took the 15 articles i created, hand spin them (Important dont use Replace everyone's favorite) Hand spin each sentence and each words. Then upload them to the following websites.

Squidoo, Hubpages, Weebly, Wikia, Wikispaces, Posterous, Tumblr, Wordpress, Blogspot, Zimbio, Skyrock, MyLivePage, Bukisa, Infobarrel, blog

Make sure to create the username as your keywords. Make sure to use different titles in each website but the title should somewhere have the Keywords.
Embed the YouTube video somewhere in the website and give just one link to the main website with the keywords as the anchor text. Remember not to use the same anchor text.

STEP 7:
I Ran a SENUKE Blast with : Article Directory, Social Network, Social Bookmarking and Indexer. Here use your own spinned articles. Do this manually even captcha. It will not take a lot of time.

STEP 8:
While the blast is running, i take the final 15 URLs from the list on Step 6 and PING with the services mentioned above.

STEP 9:
I collected all the final URLs along with my main website and Bookmarked them using Social Bookmarking Daemon. After that i pinged the URLs.

STEP 10:
I Used Links2rss and generated a RSS feed of all the URLs i got above.

STEP 11:
I Used Senuke to create a new RSS Feeds blast to all RSS Directories using the list from links2rss

All this was done on Day 1 for both the websites. It was slightly modified for the new domain.
Google has already found the website but the rankings were in 300's

For days 2-7 I followed the Steps 6 - 11. No need to create new Videos for every day. But you have to make sure you finish everything in one day.

The Black Hat 30% :

I went ahead and scheduled 10 senukex blast every day for 7 days. Here is how i did.

1. For the main website i used the Full Monty template with some changes. As its a aged domain with lots of indexed pages, it is safe. I Scheduled 1 blast every day
2. For the new website i used a kind of simple pyramid template and scheduled it to blast once every 2 days. So totally 3 times in the 7 days.
3. I added few additional pinger and indexer projects.
4. For contents i just used the inbuilt content generator with Thebestspinner API.

I have a dedicated computer running just for Senukex so it was just set and forget.

At the end of Day 7, Here are the rankings:

Main Website:

Category Name - 8
"Category Name" - 3

New Website:

Category Name - 7
"Category Name" - 1


The google dance was very prominent and some times i even went to page 60+ from page 2. I just did what i was doing and did not stop anything because of google dance. Always remember google dance is a good thing because google is deciding where to place you.. So if you stop what you were doing, it will place you in a very bad position.

This was done before 1 month and we already got about 6000 units sold via SEO. I am going to run this entire process again to improve its ranking.

My Personal SEO Method Proven Effective!!!

This is my personal SEO method that I have developed with experience with my own sites and my clients' sites. This method isn't a lot of work every day and some days are easier than others. It is a 7 day cycle, but I only work Monday-Friday so it lasts more than a week for me. You can work through the weekend if you would like. This works great if you have many sites that you have to work on or want to work on more than just a few clients' sites every day. I HAVE NEVER ENCOUNTERED ANY KIND OF PENALTY ON THE SERPS WITH ANY SITE.

Prerequisites:
Have a private blog network that you own. It doesn't have to be very large and it can be all on free sub-domains if you want to save money. 5-10 blogs is enough in most situations.
Create a free Blogger blog for each site that you market for.
Create a Link Market account for each Blogger blog.
Join a couple forums related to your niche.
Scrape blog posts related to your niche that you can MANUALLY comment on.

Tools:
AMR
Sick Submitter
Coach Tyler's Duplicate Content Checker or another duplicate checker
Get Article
Captcha Sniper or other captcha solver
Scrapebox
Some kind of article spinner
Article Submission Helper (Free Tool - Optional)
AutoBlog Samurai (Optional)

Day 1:
Scrape an article with Get Article. Rewrite this article to at least 40% unique per one word phrase, 60% unique per two word phrase, and 80% unique per three word phrase using Coach Tyler's Duplicate Content Checker (Free Tool). Also, rewrite the title and write a summary and resource box for the content link wheel and the bulk article submission in the following days. Now that it is rewritten, you have to MANUALLY spin the article with two variations on the sentence level to have 3 sentence spins available. Don't waste your time with synonym replacement in the article body. Manually spin the title three times as well. Also, do synonym spinning on the summary, title, and two resource boxes. Now you have your prepared article for the cycle.

Day 2:
Content Link Wheel:
You are going to submit spun versions of the article to the best article directories as well as some auto approve directories to make a content link wheel. You don't need a lot of sites to do this with and you can use Article Submission Helper (Free Tool) to make this faster. I only use around 20-30 sites. Your resource box should have one link to the money site and the other link will be pointing to the last auto approved submission. Start the link wheel with the Blogger because you have full access to edit this article, which will be needed to complete the link wheel.

Example – Post to Blogger, Post to EZA with link back to Blogger blog, post to Articles Base with link back to Blogger, post to Idea Marketers with link back to Blogger, post to Ezine Mark with link back to Idea Marketers, go back and edit the Blogger post and link it to the Idea Marketers post.

Bulk Article Submission:
Don't overdo the article submissions. If you get between 50-100 articles approved that is just fine. Too many will look spammy and take down the effectiveness of the submission. Use AMR or another bulk submitter to submit the prepared article from Day 1 to sites. Your resource box should have two links to the money site or if you only have one keyword, one link to the money site and the other link will point to random articles from a previous cycle of article submissions.

Day 3:
Document Submissions:
Make a PDF and a Powerpoint of a spun version of the prepared article. On each page there should be a raw link to the money site. This gives link variety and looks natural. Submit the documents to the top document sharing sites. I use between 10-15 sites. Collect all links. Create an RSS Feed with the list with Sick Submitter. Submit the feed to RSS directories with Sick Submitter.

Forum Profiles:
Create forum profiles with Sick Submitter. Anything under 100 is safe. This is my method: For the first 10 cycles, I create around 100 with various platforms. After cycle 10, I only create profiles on vBulletin sites (around 5-10 per cycle) and utilize the Recent Profile Visitors widget to get thousands of internal backlinks to the profile to make the profiles have authority.

Day 4:
Submit the forum profiles to BulkPing.com, PingDevice.com, and whatever other bulk ping site that you want to submit to. If you opt to do my method with forum profiles, get the internal links to the profile today. I use Robotsoft Mouse Recorder to automate the process easily. Create a blog post on the Blogger blog with raw links to the forum profiles. Ping the post with Ping-O-Matic or another pinging service. OPTIONAL – Submit the post to Social Monkee to get it bookmarked on 25 sites.

Day 5:
Update all the accepted article from the link wheel and the bulk submission. Use a tool like Sick Link Checker to verify that your site's backlink is on the article page, as some sites will approve your article and remove your link, especially with AMR. Once you have that completed list, submit the list to BulkPing.com and PingDevice.com. Use Scrapebox to comment on thousands of auto approve blog posts with the links pointing to random articles. DON'T USE SCRAPEBOX TO BACKLINK TO YOUR SITE.

Day 6:
With the finalized list of articles that you created yesterday, bookmark the articles with Sick Submitter, or another bookmarking tool like BMD or AutoPligg. Get all the bookmarks and submit them to BulkPing.com and PingDevice.com.

Day 7:
Create a blog post on the Blogger blog with raw links to the finalized articles that you found on Day 5. Ping the post with Ping-O-Matic and submit it to Social Monkee if you want it bookmarked for free. Get on Link Market and accept every single link exchange request that you get for the Blogger blog.

Daily:
MANUALLY comment on the blog posts related to your niche. My method is to comment on 3-4 a day. Easy and works great if you know some platforms that are auto approve and not spammed. Also, post on the forums related to your niche daily with your backlink in your signature. Make smart posts and actually contribute to the community unless you want to continually get banned for spamming.

Behind the scenes:
You should collect every single link that you create. With those, you will work on indexing every single link. With your private blog network: You will need a source of original content and a lot of it. If you are creative and have a day or so to search, it won't be a problem. I found over 20 thousands unpublished articles in a couple hours. Using AutoBlog Samurai, or manually if you wish, schedule posts about every 3-5 hours with around 5 backlinks per article. I just go in and randomly add the link to certain phrases. Do this constantly and your links will index nicely. However, adding some more power doesn't hurt! With Status.Net Sites: You can join a few status.net sites and use these sites for indexing purposes. All you have to do is create a macro (or if you are like me you can just use Robotsoft Mouse Recorder to automate this) and submit links to the sites between non-link posts to avoid getting banned for spam.


After you are done with a cycle, just continue with another one. This has been proven to be very effective for me and especially my SEO clients, which I obviously work harder for. My client has been in the top 5 for a while now using this method and the keyword gets 165,000 searches on exact match every month. If that isn't proof that this method works, I don't know what is! The 10 Great SEO tips for your site

#1 Content
As cliché as it sounds this is the number one for any search marketing strategy, it is impossibly important to ensure that you have content worth viewing. Without this one simply step to ensure that there is a reason for someone to be on your site, everything else is useless. There are a lot of great sites to find inspiration for writing great content that works.

#2 Incoming Links
A link is a link is a link, but without the simplest form you aren’t going to do well in search engines. The more links you have the more often you are going to be crawled. It is also important to make sure that you have the proper anchor text for your incoming links. The easiest way to gain quality links from other sites is to link to sites to let them know your site is there and hope for a reciprocal link. It is also important to make sure that you have content that is worth linking to on your site.

#3 Web site title
Making sure that you have the right web site titles for your pages is extremely important. The keywords you place in your title are important in order to ensure that your topic is understood by Google. One of the primary factors for ranking is if the title is on-topic with the search results. Not only is it important for robots to index and understand the topic of the page either. It is important for click-through rates in the search results. Pay attention to what you click on when you are searching in Google, I know that I don’t always click the first results. Using great titles and topics on your site will bring you more traffic than a number one listing. Most of the time it is within the first page, but I skim through the titles to see which looks to be more on-topic for my search query.

#4 Heading tags
When you are laying out your site’s content you have to be sure that you are creating the content flow in such a way that the heading tags are based on prominence. The most prominent of course being the h1 tag, which says “this is what this block of copy is about.” Making sure you understand heading tag structure is very important. You only want to have one (or two) h1 tags per a page. It is important to not just throw anything into an h1 tag and hope you rank for it.

#5 Internal Linking
Making sure that your internal linking helps robots (and visitors!) to find the content on your site is huge. Using relevant copy throughout your site will tell the robots (and visitors!) more effectively what to expect on the corresponding page. You do want to make sure that on pages you don’t want to rank in Google that you add a nofollow tag to ensure that the ranking flow of your site corresponds with your site’s topic and interests. No one is going to be searching Google to find out what your terms of service or privacy policy are.

#6 Keyword Density
Ensuring that you have the right keyword density for your page and sites topic is paramount. You don’t want to go overboard and use the keyword every 5th word but making sure it “comes up” often is going to help you rank better in search engines. The unspoken rule is no more then 5% of the total copy per a page. Anymore then this and it can start to look a little spammy. Granted, you aren’t shooting for 5% every time. It is really all about context and relevance— just make sure it is good, quality copy.

#7 Sitemaps
It is always a good idea to give search engines a helping hand to find the content that is on your site. Making sure that you create and maintain a sitemap for all of the pages on your site will help the search robots to find all of the pages in your site and index them. Google, Yahoo, MSN and Ask all support sitemaps and most of them offer a great way to ensure that it is finding your sitemap. Most of the time you can simply name it sitemap.xml and the search robot will find the file effectively.

#8 Meta Tags
Everyone will tell you that meta tags don’t matter, they do. The biggest thing they matter for is click-through though. There will be a lot of times when Google will use your meta description as the copy that gets pulled with your search listing. This can help to attract the visitor to visit your web site if it is related to their search query. Definitely a much overlooked (as of late) ranking factor. Getting indexed by search engines and ranking well is just the first step. The next, and biggest, step is getting that visitor that searched for your keywords to want to click on your search listing.

#9 URL Structure
Ensuring that your URL structure compliments the content that is on the corresponding page is pretty important. There are various methods to make this work, such as modrewrite on apache.

#10 Domain
It can help to have keywords you are interested in ranking for within your domain, but only as much as the title, heading and content matters. One very important factor that is coming to light is that domain age is important. The older the site or domain, the better it is not spam and can do well in search results. The domain age definitely isn’t a make or break factor but it does help quite a bit.
